If you thought every statue at Michigan State was being guarded in the days leading up to the game against U-M, you are wrong.
Michigan State basketball player Alvin Ellis tweeted out a photo Thursday morning of the Magic Johnson statue spray painted outside the Breslin Center.
Johnson's face was spray painted yellow, with a yellow 'M' across his chest and the words "beat State" written on the bottom of the statue.

This comes on the heels of the Spartan statue at Michigan State being spray painted in April.
There's been a lot of media coverage this week of the group of students sitting on the Diag at the University of Michigan guarding their precious bronze 'M' 24 hours a day.
Who's falling asleep on the job over there in East Lansing?
