Lions Host Former Wolverine Taylor Lewan In Pre-Draft Visit

CBS DETROIT - Buoyed by young players such as Riley Reiff, LaAdrian Waddle and Larry Warford, the offensive line of the Detroit Lions turned out much better in 2013 than many expected. The Lions could add more talent to the group by drafting former Michigan left tackle Taylor Lewan, who also could have been a high draft pick in 2013 had he not elected to stay for his final year of eligibility with the Wolverines.
As might be expected, the outspoken lineman was confident as ever when he spoke with the team's official reporter.
Lewan: "I want to take a man from point A to point B against his will and put him in the dirt a dozen times in a 60-minute game."

Lewan made headlines this offseason for a variety of reasons. He was accused of intimidating a University of Michigan student who was allegedly raped by Lewan's teammate, Brendan Gibbons. Separately, Lewan was charged with three counts of assault after an incident with Ohio State fans the night of Michigan's season-ending loss to the Buckeyes.
Lewan denied wrongdoing in both situations when questioned by reporters at the NFL combine.
