If KTLA weather reporter Liberte Chan did the weather in Mexico no one would have ever said a thing.

Unfortunately for her she doesn't.

While doing a live broadcast this weekend, Chan was asked to cover up with a sweater because her dress was too revealing. She was told off-screen that the station was "getting a lot of emails."

Chan went to Twitter to talk about her thoughts about the sweater.

For those who missed what happened Saturday, March 14th, I was wearing a black, beaded sparkly dress and apparently, the station received a slew of negative emails from viewers saying the dress was inappropriate for air.

I've worked on-air for 10 years and by now, I've learned that everyone has an opinion and you have to have a thick skin to work in this business. It's a visual medium and sometimes your outfit works and sometimes it doesn't.

In the video, you will see a reporter read some emails to her that were complaining about the dress. People said it looked like she was partying all night and came straight to work.

She said she wanted the attention on her weather performance and not the dress. I am beyond shocked that the producers or whoever would give her a sweater during her on-air weather report.

No one would have ever noticed if that wasn't the case.
