CBS DETROIT - Backup quarterback Kellen Moore has signed a two-year deal with the Detroit Lions, the team announced Friday.
Moore was the third-string passer for the Lions in 2014 behind fellow backup Dan Orlovsky and starter Matthew Stafford. Both Orlovsky and Moore were set to become free agents Tuesday.
The Lions re-signed Orlovsky earlier in the week.
Stafford has not missed a game in any of the last four seasons, so Detroit has not had much use for its backups during regular season games in recent years.
