Ivanka Trump Stumps For Dad In Troy During Visit With Female Business Owners
TROY (WWJ) - A busy day of campaigning in metro Detroit, as two of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's children stump for their father.
Ivanka Trump making an appearance, Wednesday night, at the Detroit Marriott in Troy, speaking before a supportive audience of female business owners, telling them her father is the messenger of "your movement."
"He's going to dream big for this country," said Trump, "he's not going to be afraid of our success, and he's going to make sure it happens. By bringing the best people into our government and ultimately not being beholden to anyone, only the American people. He answers only to you."
Ivanka's visit -- along with that of her brother Donald Jr., earlier in the day in Detroit -- comes at a time when polls say the race in Michigan between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is tightening up.
The event was open to media but not to any questions.
