Investigation underway after body of woman found on I-94 in St. Clair Shores
ST CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Authorities are investigating after the body of a woman was discovered on Interstate 94 in St. Clair Shores early Friday morning.
Michigan State Police received notification of a dead female on the freeway around 7:45 a.m. in the area of eastbound I-94 and Nine Mile Road.
Authorities indicate that the woman had head trauma. Upon further investigation by MSP and Special Investigation Detectives, it has been determined that the 17-year-old female victim suffered a gunshot wound. She has yet to be identified.
This is still an ongoing investigation. Detectives are asking anyone that was in the area of I-94 and Eight Mile Road at 3:45 a.m. to contact 248-584-5740 if they have info.
