Earlier Wednesday afternoon, 97.1 The Ticket's very own Terry Foster broke the story that Calvin Johnson is "seriously considering retiring."

If Calvin Johnson were to indeed retire from the NFL the Detroit Lions would have a major hole at WR.

Here are five options at WR for the Lions if Johnson chooses the retirement route.

1. Draft Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell. Mock drafts have him projected to be drafted as high as No. 10 to the New York Giants.

Treadwell holds 12 receiving records for Ole Miss and is widely projected to be the first WR in the 2016 NFL Draft.

2. Free agent WR-to-be Anquan Boldin: The 13-year NFL veteran could be a nice addition to Golden Tate and add a veteran presence to the Detroit Lions locker room. Click HERE for a complete list of 2016 NFL WR free agents.

3. Draft TCU WR Josh Doctson. Dotson is a 6'3" WR who could play the role as the "big" WR the Lions will need as Johnson's replacement.

4. Draft Ohio State WR Michael Thomas. Thomas is widely thought to be the second best WR in this year's draft class behind Laquon Treadwell.

5. The Lions could replace Calvin from within the team. WR's Corey Fuller, TJ Jones and Lance Moore could collectively fill Calvin's role.

Who would you want to see the Lions replace Calvin Johnson with?
