Hundreds Without Power After Crash Knocks Lines Down In Grosse Pointe Farms

GROSSE POINTE FARMS (WWJ) -- Hundreds of residents are without power in the Grosse Point Farms area Monday night following an accident involving a truck earlier in the afternoon.

The crash happened at Fisher and Grosse Pointe Boulevard and caused power lines to fall in the area. The DTE outage map shows about 900 homes and business without power.

According to the map, there is not an estimated restoration time. Power was originally expected to be restored to residents around 9:30 p.m. Monday night.

Grosse Point Farms police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 there were no injuries in the accident.
