Hospitalization Doesn't Slow Rep. John Dingell From Tweeting
By Edward Cardenas
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - U.S. Rep. John Dingell is the 'Dean of the House' - and despite being hospitalized - a prolific user of Twitter.
The longest-serving member of the U.S. House of Representatives has been using the social network for more than four years, and despite being admitted Monday to Henry Ford Hospital for abdominal pains, has continued to Tweet from his hospital room.
The Dearborn Democrat is expected to be back in Washington D.C. next week, according to reports, but in the interim is sharing his commentary on social media.
His Tweets include comments on the Lions and Tigers:
Glad I watched while still under doctor's care. What a win! RT @MickiMaynard: Did you stay up for the end, @john_dingell? Pretty exciting.

Terrific way to start the game, @Lions. Just what the doctor ordered.

(Not really. They ordered antibiotics, thankfully. But the TD helps.)
