[VIDEO] Hi-Def World Cup Viewing "A First" For Detroit

DETROIT (CBSDetroit) - The hi-def television screen erected in Cadillac Square Thursday for a World Cup viewing party needed every inch of the 16-foot by 8-foot screen to show the game to the hundreds who gathered to watch the game.
The audio-visual team at Quicken Loans contracted a vendor for the video wall, and worked to set up the audio for the noon showing of the United States-Germany soccer game.
Steve Hackley, director of audio-visual for Quicken Loans, believes the showing was a first for the city.
"Our team hasn't (set up a video wall) and we don't really know of another time that's happened," said Hackley.
The video board was a 16-foot by 8-foot, hi-def screen which used a HD cable box feed with a Sling Box backup.
