Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Southeast Michigan
DETROIT (WWJ) - Another round of severe weather could be headed for metro Detroit.
The National Weather Service on Saturday morning issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the entire southeastern Michigan region, now in effect through next week.
Forecasters say there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, with more threatening weather expected to follow. Thunderstorms on Sunday could be severe, with wind gusts around 40 miles per hour and hail up to an inch in diameter. The storms also have the potential of intense rainfall, which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
