Have You Seen This Car? Police Seek Suspect Vehicle In Detroit Resale Shop Killing
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have released photos of a vehicle in hopes of catching a killer.
The owner of a resale shop was gunned down in his store in 1700 block of E. 7 Mile Road near Dequindre shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, two men got into an argument with the 45-year old owner of Linn Bonn Flea Mart, when one of the men pulled a gun and shot the man in the chest several times, fatally wounding him.
Both suspect fled the scene, possibly in a dark red or maroon-colored sedan caught on security footage obtained by police. It appears to be a 4-door Pontiac Grand Prix.
Suspect number one is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, around 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a medium brown complexion. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black sweatpants and black shorts. Suspect number two is described only as a black male.
The victim's name was not immediately released. It was reported that he had just recently taken over the business from a relative.
Police have not yet discussed a motive for the crime. It wasn't immediately clear if anything was taken from the store. An investigation is ongoing.
