Have $2 Million? Miguel Cabrera's Birmingham Home Up For Sale
BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - Looking for a house? Have $2 million? Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera's home in Birmingham could be all yours.
The custom-built brick and stone Tudor home was listed for sale this week. It's located at 380 Fairfax Street in the Quarton Lake Estates, "one of Birmingham's most sought after neighborhoods."
The listing says the 5,762-square-foot home, built in 2008, has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The master suite boasts a marble master bathtub, custom walk-in closet and a soaking tub.

The home also features a chef's kitchen with adjoining morning room, a paneled library with a coffered ceiling, newly refinished hardwood floors and a fully finished lower level with its own bar. A finished bonus room on the upper level serves perfectly as a play room or en-suite bedroom, while a state of the art custom theater room features oversized leather seating. Other features include a private, fenced back yard with a newer patio, built-in grill and pergola, and an attached three-car garage.
The only drawback? The house is on a lot smaller than a half-acre.
Viewings are by appointment only to pre-approved buyers.
Cabrera is reportedly selling this Birmingham home in favor of a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 11,176-square-foot home along Lake Shore Road in Grosse Pointe, according to the Detroit News. It's located next door to the $3.3 million estate of Henry Ford's great-grandson.
