Halloween Forecast: Rain May Dampen Trick-Or-Treating Fun
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - A raincoat and galoshes may not match that Spider-Man suit, but parents will want to have them handy as they prepare the kids' costumes for Halloween night.
WWJ AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Bowers says things are looking good overall for metro Detroit over the weekend — with one unhappy exception on Saturday.
"The only headache in the forecast here is, unfortunately, poorly timed for the trick-or-treaters — because it does look like they're going to have to be prepared for some wet weather," Bowers said.
Bowers said there will be a little bit of rain and drizzle beginning Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m., into Saturday evening, and not clearing up until around midnight.
As trick-or-treating begins, temperatures should be in the mid to low 50s, dropping down to around 48 for a low.
Back to the good news: metro Detroit is in for a spring-like warm up on the way next week.
Here's the detailed forecast from the CBS Detroit weather team:
