'Hairgate' Is the Latest iPhone 6 Complaint
By Edward Cardenas
SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - The latest complaint among iPhone 6 owners on social media is the smart phone is allegedly ripping out chunks of hair.
An iPhone 6 Plus owner posted on 9to5mac.com complaining that when using the large smart phone, it would pull a chunk of hair when the user was making a call. The user initially thought their hair was sticking to the screen protector, but after further inspection, found their hair was stuck between glass and aluminum.
Other users then joined in with similar complaints:
@EmilyDreyfuss No, its my head hair. I have long hair so it happens when there's a seam on the front of a phone like the iPhone or HTC One.

Anyone else getting beard hairs pulled by the iPhone 6/Plus? It catches my scruff in the seam and yanks it during calls. #hurts #beardgate

Then others took to Twitter to make light of the issue:

While the latest issue may make for good traffic online, and humorous banter on social media, a story in Forbes debunks the issue.
Gordon Kelly stated that the gap between the front glass and aluminium does not exist, and the very small gap which is present, is narrower than human hair.
