Guilty Pleas In Motor City Casino Cheating Conspiracy Case

LANSING (WWJ) -- A scheme to steal money from a Detroit casino will net prison time for several players and a former casino dealer.

Darryl Green, 53, a former dealer at Motor City Casino, allegedly paid out or didn't collect on losing bets to six other defendants while playing Texas Hold 'em.

Five of seven defendants charged in relation to a cheating conspiracy scheme at the casino have pled guilty.

The five guilty pleas:

Roxanna Mckinney, 49, Farmington Hills, pled guilty to a felony and agreed to testify against codefendants.

Eugene Davis, Jr, 32, Detroit, pled guilty to a felony and agreed to testify against codefendants.

Hayward Stampley, 57, West Bloomfield, pled guilty to a felony and agreed to testify against codefendents.

Calvin Pullom, 47, Detroit, pled guilty to attempted larceny and agreed to testify against codefendents:

Earl Railey, 65, Detroit, pled guilty to four felonies, including conspiracy to cheat and larceny.

Green and Leah Smith, 42, will next appear in court on May 27.

The investigation showed the other six defendants in the case knew Green and associated with him outside of the casino prior to and after the alleged cheating.
