Grand Rapids Griffins Eric Tangradi Shows Off Nasty Gash Above Eye On Instagram [PHOTO]

If anyone had any doubt that hockey is one of the most brutal sports to play, check this out: Eric Tangradi and the Grand Rapid Griffins are in the middle of the playoffs against the Lake Erie Monsters.

And during practice Monday, Tangradi got a nasty gash above his eye that is tough to look at for anyone with a weak stomach. I can't even imagine how many stitches it would have taken to close that wound.

The Griffins face off against the Monsters on Thursday in Cleveland.
