The TV channel is still unknown, but at least Michigan and Michigan State fans know what time on Oct. 17 they have to disown each other.
The No. 4 Spartans and Jim Harbaugh's now-ranked (No. 18) Michigan team will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Ann Arbor, the schools announced. The game will be on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, with the final decision coming after this weekend's slate of games is complete.
Michigan State dropped in the polls from second in the country this week after two straight games deemed closer than they should have been. The Spartans beat Central Michigan two weeks ago, 30-10, after a slow start, then won against Purdue by only a field goal (24-21) this past weekend.
Meanwhile, the Wolverines, who were unranked to begin the season, have had two straight shutout victories (31-0 against No. 22 BYU and 28-0 at Maryland), but has sometimes struggled on the offensive end.
In the week before the interstate matchup, Michigan (4-1) will have its homecoming game against Northwestern (ranked 13th in the nation) on Saturday, while Michigan State (5-0) will play at Rutgers.
