Fort Gratiot Middle School deemed safe after closing Thursday due to threat found in bathroom
FORT GRATIOT, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Authorities say the school has been deemed safe after Fort Gratiot Middle School was closed following the discovery of a threat written on a stall in the girl's bathroom, officials said.
St. Clair County Sheriff's Office deputies and detectives were at the school investigating the hand-written threat.
According to the sheriff's office, the school was dismissed for the rest of the day out of an abundance of caution.
Authorities searched the school and deemed it safe but are still working to determine who made the threat. No other information has been released at this time.
