Cliff Robinson played for the Detroit Pistons from 2001-2003. Robinson was best known as "Uncle Cliff" with his time with the Pistons.

Robinson now goes by a different name: "Uncle Spliffy."

According to Koin.com, Robinson is now promoting marijuana at the Cannabis Collaborative Conference.

"I think I've always been an advocate for cannabis," Robinson told KOIN 6 News. "(It's) calming, calm my stomach, calm my nerves, so from that standpoint I see a lot of positives."

The story states that Robinson did smoke marijuana while he played in the NBA even though he knew it was "illegal and against the rules."

Marijuana is legal in Oregon and "Uncle Spliffy" is getting into the marijuana business and wants the professional team's doctors to provide their players with marijuana.

"I think we definitely have to continue looking into cannabis and the benefits that it has, the health benefits that it has, because I think it's come leaps and bounds," he said.

Robinson played 18 seasons in the NBA and was probably best known for his role he played for the Portland Trailblazers in the early 1990's.
