Flint Man Charged With Rape, Assault By Strangulation

FLINT (AP) - A 28-year-old Flint man has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of assault by strangulation in connection with an attack that forced a female victim to jump through an apartment window to escape.

The Genesee County prosecutor's office says Dujuan Kendrick faces arraignment in 67th District Court.

The prosecutor's office says an off-duty Flint police detective stopped his vehicle July 22 after seeing the bleeding, naked woman in the roadway. The woman collapsed on his car and was later taken to a hospital by paramedics.

Police say she suffered life-threatening cuts.
