Firefighters Rush To St. John Hospital In Detroit On 'False Alarm'

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit firefighters were called to St. John Hospital on the city's east side but as it turns out, it was just a false alarm.

Reports about a possible fire started coming in shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday after alarms started going off in the nurses' quarters at the hospital, located on Moross Road near Mack Avenue.

Fire crews quickly responded to the hospital and soon discovered there was no fire after all.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the alarms to initially go off.

No one was injured.
