Fire At Troy Apartment Complex Leaves Several Residents Homeless
TROY (WWJ) - Several people have to find new homes after an apartment fire in Troy. Firefighters were called to the fire at the complex on Lovington Drive, near John R and 14 Mile roads.
Authorities state that the fire started in a kitchen.
Apartment complex managers are working to find new apartments for those displaced. It is unknown how many were displaced or what those accommodations may be.
No serious injuries were reported, but firefighters did rescue at least two people from the upper floors with ladders.
Fire authorities tell WWJ that one resident escaped by hanging out of the second floor window and dropping to the ground as firefighters arrived on scene.
