FBI Releases Photos Of Suspects Believed To Be Connected To 2 Armed Robberies

DETROIT (WWJ) - The FBI is out with new pictures of several men suspected of being involved in one, if not two, armed robberies in April.

West Bloomfield Township Police Chief Michael Patton says it's in the best interest of the public to find these suspects.

"These are very dangerous criminals. Can you imagine yourself if you were inside a shopping center or jewelry store and have armed individuals coming into that location - Randy's Firearms - and put all his staff and other guests of the store down onto the floor, how afraid you will be. Everyone has an interest in helping us to locate and bring these individuals to justice."

Patton spoke about the men suspected in the April 22 robbery of a Tapper's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry Store inside of Orchard Mall.

The suspects have also been connected to another robbery at the Medawar Fine Jewelry in Grand Rapids that same day.

"The physical characteristics of the individuals, the clothing, the vehicles that were used - we access with a very high degree of confidence - that these two incidents are related," said FBI Special Agent Paul LaBate.

The first robbery in Grand Rapids was a zero net gain for the thieves, and reportedly one of the gunmen was injured by the Grand Rapids store owner. In the robbery in W. Bloomfield about 100 Rolex watches were stolen.

A $25,000 reward is being offered through Crime-Stoppers in the case.

If you have any information about the men pictured, you are asked to contact 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
