LANSING (WWJ) - Someone in metro Detroit could be very, very rich after Wednesday's near-record breaking Powerball lottery drawing.

The jackpot is up to $485 million -- the largest Powerball jackpot in the past 12 months. The cash option for Wednesday's jackpot is nearly $328 million.

Lottery retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets for $2 each until 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. The drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m.
