Donald Trump To Speak To Detroit Economic Club On Monday

DETROIT (WWJ) - No matter where you stand politically, it'll be interesting to hear what Donald Trump has to say about Detroit when he makes an appearance downtown on Monday.

The Detroit Economic Club on Wednesday announced that the Republican Presidential Candidate will speak to the club on the afternoon of Aug. 8 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center.

The speaking program is scheduled to begin at noon, with a luncheon for members and guests to follow.

The mission of Detroit Economic Club is to provide a platform for the debate and discussion of the great business, government and social issues of the day, according to its website. Founded in 1934, the DEC has a distinguished history of hosting candidates for President of the United States at its meetings, the club says.

Tickets for this event (DEC members and their guests only) will be available online Wednesday evening for members and guests at www.econclub.org.
