Detroit's Frank Murphy Hall Of Justice Floods After Storms

(WWJ) Restoration crews arrived at Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit following reports of early morning flooding.

"Flooding has caused substantial damage to multiple floors inside the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice," said WWJ's Charlie Langton. "Right now, emergency restoration trucks specializing in water removal are outside the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice. Dehumidifiers and blowers have been taken inside."

A plumbing issue or pipe explosion are being blamed for the issue, Langton reported.

Administrators are checking on the extent of the flooding, but they tell WWJ 950 courts will be open for business Tuesday.

Hearings planned for four affected courtrooms will be moved or re-scheduled.

Staffers say floods started on the fifth floor and trickled down.
