Detroit Teen Vanishes After Walking Away From East Side Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who disappeared after walking away from her home on the city's east side last week.

Family members say Cassandra Fields was last seen around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 when she left her home in the 3000 block of Harvard, near Mack Avenue and Cadieux Road.

The teenager, who has a mental health disorder, hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Fields is described as 5'7" tall and about 148 pounds with a light complexion, brown eyes and medium-length brown hair, which she was wearing tied back in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a turquoise short sleeve t-shirt, jeans and black and green gym shoes.
