Police: 2 Missing Detroit Teens Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit say two teenage girls who went missing on Friday night have been found safe.

Nicole Allen, 13, and Laila Taylor, 15, were both found on Saturday, the Detroit Police Department confirmed.

Police say the teens were last seen around 5:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Schaeffer and Joy Road, on the city's west side.

According to police, Allen got into a verbal argument with her mother as they were driving home from her school. During the argument, police say the girl got out the vehicle and began walking eastbound on Joy Road.

Shortly afterwards, Allen met up with Taylor, then ran off together in an unknown direction, according to police.
