Detroit Schools Performing Lowest in Nation
DETROIT, MI — Detroit students' performance is the poorest in the nation, again, with test schools remaining as low as the last time national exams were administered, according to a media report.
Detroit Public Schools Supt. Nikolai Vitti vowed improvement was coming to the district and said Detroit students remain at a disadvantage. Students scored lowest among urban districts and in fourth- and eighth-grade reading and math.
