Detroit Ranks Dead Last On List Of Best Cities To Celebrate Valentine's Day
DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Love may be in the air ahead of this week's noted Hallmark holiday...but not so much in Detroit, according to some new statistics.
On a list released by WalletHub.com, the Motor City is ranked dead last among the best cities in the U.S. in which to celebrate Valentine's Day.
The site looked at 100 of the most populated cities examining 15 key metrics, including restaurant meal costs, the number of attractions and the number of florists per capita. For example, the site claims the average price for a movie ticket is four times higher in Detroit than in tenth-place Fremont, California.
