Pete Rock and Slum Village with special guests Clear Soul Forces
Friday, March 13th / 8pm / The Crofoot Ballroom, Pontiac, MI

Producer, DJ, and rapper Pete Rock will show his love for Detroit this Friday night at the Crofoot Ballroom, alongside notable Detroit hip hop groups Slum Village and Clear Soul Forces. It will be a night of classic Detroit hip-hop and enough soul to recreate a special Motown vibe. Tickets are $20 at the door. Find more information here!

Andy and the Pandy's / Earth Engine / The Bruised Reed / Garbage Tornado
Friday, March 13th / 8pm / PJ's Lager House, Detroit, MI

The Lager House will be hosting a night of awesome Detroit indie artists this Friday night, with sounds from Andy and the Pandy's, The Bruised Reed, Earth Engine, and Garbage Tornado. With this lineup, you'll get a taste of every style of indie music Detroit has to offer, from power-pop to punk to psychedelic to good ol' rock 'n' roll. Cover is $5, and this is a 21+ show. The Ragbirds
Friday, March 13th / 9pm / The Huma Room at HopCat, Detroit, MI

Playing "hook-laden pop with a kaleidoscopic array of worldly influences," Ann Arbor's own The Ragbirds will take their contemporary folk-rock to Detroit. After nearly seven years touring with an average of 175 shows per year, The Ragbirds took a short break from touring in 2013 after the birth of front-woman Erin Zindle and percussionist Randall Moore's daughter. 9th Annual Motor City Blues Festival
Friday, March 13th to Saturday, March 14th / 8pm / Masonic Temple, Detroit, MI

Back for their ninth year running, the annual Motor City Blues Festival is taking place this weekend at the Masonic Temple Theater in downtown Detroit. The festival honors the rich history of blues and soul music from all times, and is there really a better city to celebrate than in the birthplace for Motown? We didn't think so. Expect music from acclaimed blues musicians Clarence Carter, Shirley Brown, Sir Charles Jones, Mel Waiters, Lenny Williams, and Bobby Rush. Tickets are $39.50+. Find more information here!

Come on out, Detroit loving bass-heads! This Saturday, the HQ Lounge will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a full lineup of Detroit DJs and producers. Back by popular demand, the Thirst Wave Depeche Mode Tribute Night will make a comeback at Small's Bar in Hamtramck this Saturday night. If you're into new wave, retro alternative, dark '80s and '90s, and especially Depeche Mode, then this is the night for you!
