Detroit Police Seek Suspect Who Followed, Shot Victim After Argument [PHOTOS]
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping the public can help identify a man wanted in connection with a midnight shooting on the city's west side.
The shooting happened around 12 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at a store in the area of Hartwell and Schoolcraft Avenue, just east of Schaefer Highway.
According to police, the 48-year-old victim had a verbal altercation with the suspect, who was armed, inside the store. As the victim was leaving the location, police say the suspect followed behind and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the shooting, according to police.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, possibly in his 20s, with short black hair and a goatee. At the time, he was wearing a white t-shirt with an eagle on the front and dark-colored pants. Investigators say he is to be considered armed and dangerous.
Police have released photos of the suspect taken from the store's security camera in hopes that someone will be able to identify him.
