Detroit Police Search For Suspects After Man Killed In Attempted Carjacking

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are searching for as many as three suspects following an attempted carjacking that left one man dead on Monday morning.

The incident took place at a gas station near Gratiot and St. Aubin between 1:50 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Monday morning where the driver of a black Mustang GT was fatally shot. The vehicle was later found with extensive damage on the sidewalk, having crashed into an abandoned restaurant.

No details have been released about the victim at this time.

The suspects are described as three black males last seen in a light blue Ford Freestyle minivan. They first carjacked the minivan at Grand River and Heritage. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
