Detroit Pistons Officially Ink Reggie Jackson, Joel Anthony

AUBURN HILLS (CBS Detroit) -- The Detroit Pistons announced Monday that the team has re-signed guard Reggie Jackson to a multi-year contract.

"We're pleased to have reached an agreement with Reggie Jackson that will keep him with the organization for multiple years," said Stan Van Gundy, Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations for the Detroit Pistons.  "Reggie is a team-first type player who developed great chemistry with our core players following his midseason acquisition.  We feel he has a tremendous future ahead of him and he'll be a major contributor to our team moving forward."

It was reported on July 5 that the terms of the contract are five-years and $80 million.

Jackson, 24, appeared in 77 games (40 starts) with Oklahoma City and Detroit last season averaging career highs in points (14.5 ppg), rebounds (4.2 rpg), assists (6.0 apg) and minutes (29.5 mpg). He posted 17.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 32.2 minutes in 27 games with Detroit, including an 11-game stretch from March 17 through April 4 where he averaged 20.6 points (.494 FG, .417 3FG), 10.8 assists and 5.7 rebounds while leading the club to a 7-4 record.

The team also re-signed center Joel Anthony to a multi-year contract. Anthony, 32, appeared in 49 games and averaged 1.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.1 assists, 0.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 8.3 minutes per game.
