Detroit Man Caught Nude In Bed With Daughter Charged With Assault In Related Stabbing
PONTIAC (WWJ) - A Detroit man accused of stabbing of his son-in-law after raping his adult daughter is behind bars on assault charges.
Henry Michael Allen, 47, of Detroit, was arraigned in 50th District Court Wednesday on one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and one count of felonious assault in connection with the disturbing incident.
A 25-year-old man told Oakland County deputies he arrived home, in the 100 block of W. Rundell Ave. in Pontiac, on Saturday to find his wife and Allen, his father-in-law, naked in bed together.
When he woke the older man a fight broke out that continued outside the home. That's where, sheriff's officials say, Allen stabbed the younger man in the back with a knife.
Allen fled the scene but was later arrested.
The stabbing victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries while his wife, who said she believed she'd been sexually assaulted, was examined by hospital staff.
The 24-year-old woman told police that she's been out drinking with her dad before she passed out at the house. She did not know what had happened, she said, until her husband woke her up.
Allen has not been charged with sexual assault. Sheriff's officials said an investigation into that part of the case is ongoing.
An ex-con, Allen has a criminal record which includes convictions for robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. He was wanted in Taylor on a probation violation at the time of the stabbing.
Bond was set at $75,000 cash, no 10 percent, in the assault case.
Allen remains lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending a preliminary exam set for Thursday, Sept. 17.
