Detroit Cops Hunting For Man Who Stabbed Taxi Driver

Detroit police are on the hunt for a man wanted in an earlier stabbing.

The department says a 35-year-old man called a taxi last Monday afternoon and asked to be taken from Greektown to the area near I-94 and Grand River.

After being dropped off, the suspect asked the driver to take him somewhere else.

When the driver refused, the man allegedly stabbed the 42-year-old victim several times.

The man got help for his critical injuries, while the suspect fled.

He was last seen wearing an orange sweatshirt, gray jogging pants and gray gym shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call police right away at 313-267-4600.
