DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A trial is scheduled to start for a Detroit man seen in a video being punched and kicked by police during his arrest for carjacking, robbery and other charges.

Fifty-one-year-old Andrew Jackson was arrested Jan. 12 by auto-theft unit officers. A woman made a video showing Grosse Pointe Park and Highland Park officers beating and kicking him in a Detroit neighborhood. The officers were working with a regional auto-theft unit.
