DE Darryl Tapp Tweets Goodbye To Washington, Greeting To Detroit

CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Lions need a replacement for defensive end Willie Young, who signed today with the NFC rival Chicago Bears, and it looks like the Lions have made their choice.
While there has not been an official announcement that free agent Darryl Tapp, most recently of the Washington Redskins, will be signing with the Lions, the player himself took to Twitter and appeared to confirm the move.
Tapp played in 11 games for Washington in 2013. He spent three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles before that, and he started his career with the Seattle Seahawks, for whom he played four seasons.
Wednesday night, Tapp had tweeted a picture of himself at the airport with the caption, "Headed to go get me a job." He followed up Thursday's visit to Lions headquarters at Allen Park by sending out a photo of his Redskins jersey and helmet, and the accompanying text made Tapp's intentions clear.
"It was a honor and pleasure to play for my favorite team growing up...now my journey continues in the "D"...#Lionblood."
Ezekiel Ansah and Jason Jones will start at defensive end for the Lions, though Young played extensively in 2013 because Jones was injured. Tapp is expected to fill out the second string with Devin Taylor.
