I knew it was only a matter of time before something like this was going to happen.

CoverGirl has recently released a series of ads promoting the NFL and encouraging their female fans to "Get their game faces ready" all with the help of CoverGirl products.

The ads featured ladies supporting all 32 NFL teams and the Baltimore Ravens ad featured a stunning looking woman who is wearing a ton of purple eye makeup.

Unfortunately, someone on the Internet got a hold of this photo and photoshopped a black eye on the woman, as you can see in the tweet below.

CoverGirl released this statement to E! Online:

"As a brand that has always supported women and stood for female empowerment, COVERGIRL believes domestic violence is completely unacceptable. We developed our NFL program to celebrate the more than 80 million female football fans. In light of recent events, we have encouraged the NFL to take swift action on their path forward to address the issue of domestic violence."

The image has now gone viral and the hashtag #goodellmustgo is appearing in the tweets and Facebook messages along with the photo.

CoverGirl.com/NFL has also been taken down.
