WHAT'S AT STAKE

The Wolverines are not just expected to win, but to rout their opponent for a third straight week to stay near the top of The Associated Press college football poll. The Buffaloes have a chance, potentially at least, to beat a ranked team for the first time under fourth-year coach Mike MacIntyre.

KEY MATCHUP

Michigan QB Wilton Speight vs. Colorado's defensive backs. Speight has played mistake-free football since throwing an interception on his first snap this season. He has completed 70 percent of his passes for 457 yards and seven touchdowns in two games. The Buffaloes have four returning starters in the secondary: Ahkello Witherspoon, Tedric Thompson, Chidobe Awuzie and Ryan Moeller.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Colorado: QB Sefo Liufau. He has completed nearly three-fourth of his passes for 522, three touchdowns and no interceptions, running Colorado's new up-tempo offense.

Michigan: LB Mike McCray. After making just two tackles in three years with the Wolverines, he ranks second with 15 tackles, including team highs with two sacks and five stops for losses.
