Civil Infractions Against 11 Detroit Cops Unveiled In Routine Audit
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit police department says nearly a dozen officers are being investigated for possible misconduct.
Chief James Craig says a routine check of driving records revealed a few marks against some of his officers: someone who parked in a handicapped spot, another was cited for driving too close to another car.
"We didn't find anything with any warrants, criminal warrants, everything was civil infractions," said Craig.
"I can tell you for example, garbage dumping, sometimes when you get a citation on a non-related driving, they attach it to your driving record and that's what we found."
The civil infractions were all discovered during a routine audit done twice a year.
