Caught On Camera: Woman Robs Bank In Dearborn

DEARBORN (WWJ) -- Police in Dearborn are on the lookout for a suspect wanted in a bank robbery that took place on Thursday.

Police say the suspect -- described as a heavy-set black female -- entered a bank in the area of Oakwood and Beech just before 11 a.m.

The woman passed a note to one of the tellers and took off with an undisclosed amount of money, fleeing the scene in a white, older-model mini van.

"The Dearborn Police Department will aggressively investigate this crime and utilize all available resources in doing so," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a press release. "We are urging the public to come forward and provide information to help identify the suspect involved in this crime."
