CBS DETROIT - MLB's Intentional Talk bills itself as "The Best Interview in Baseball." When Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera goes on the show, it inevitably lives up to that description.
For starters, Cabrera flexes for the camera, prompting the hosts to exclaim about his "guns." Then Cabrera gets a gaggle of his teammates - all wearing the team's new Zubaz pants, purchased by reliever Joba Chamberlain - to join him. The highlight of this joint appearance has to be starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez, who made the inexplicable but undeniably hilarious wardrobe choice of tying up his T-shirt and hiking up the Zubaz pants into short shorts. Dramatic flexing by Sanchez made the moment all the more hysterical.
Cabrera discussed who on the team has the worst beach body, the most he ever saw former manager Jim Leyland smoke, his approach on talking with opposing players at first base, and more.
Cabrera went four-for-five in Tuesday's game, which followed the interview. Cabrera singled twice, doubled once and homered once. He totaled four runs batted in. His batting average is now .293.
