Boxer Throws In Towel To Flint's Clarissa Shields After An 11 Second Defeat

Boxer Clarissa Shields (born and raised in Flint), is a gold medalist with a career record of 43-1. She undoubtedly just won the easiest boxing fight of her life, after her opponent, Hellen Baleke, threw in the towel after a grand total of eleven seconds.

Baleke's corner threw in the towel immediately after Shields landed her first punch. The reasoning behind the decision was the fact that she had no chance of lasting against Shields and it was best to avoid the possibility of getting seriously injured.

This is a reality of amateur boxing. Mismatches similar to the one here are a common occurrence. However, I've never seen somebody quit and not even try like what happened here. Baleke must have a serious amount of respect, and fear, for Clarissa Shields.
