Boil Water Advisory In Southfield Lifted As Crews Continue To Repair Water Main Break

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - The boil water advisory has been lifted in Southfield after a water main break Thursday.

A statement from the city says crews continue to work on repairing the break which happened in the area west of Telegraph and north of Civic Center Drive/Franklin area.

While the boil water advisory is no longer in effect; the city says those in the impacted area will be without water until the broken water main is repaired and tested for contaminants.

It may take up to three days to repair and complete required testing to ensure water quality.

Approximately 57 single-family residential and 3 commercial properties are currently impacted.

Public Works crews will be delivering a case of bottled water to each property without service.
