Body Found In Dumpster Near Nursing Home Where Man Lived
DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say the body of a 73-year-old man was found in a dumpster behind the Detroit nursing home where he lived.
WXYZ-TV reports Ralph Ford's body was found Wednesday covered in clothes behind St. Francis Nursing Center on the city's east side. Emergency responders took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, and someone from the nursing home later reported him missing.
The station said the nursing center's managers and owners refused comment. Someone who answered the phone when The Associated Press called Thursday evening said nobody was available to comment.
Several state investigators spent hours at the facility on Thursday but also declined to comment.
