"Merry Frickin Christmas," was the last words said by Audrey Middleton, the 25-year-old Digital Marketing Consultant from Villa Rica, GA during her speech to the houseguests before they voted live. Unfortunately my prediction of a unanimous vote didn't happen. Austin or his alter ego "Judas," voted to save Audrey. Former Big Brother Houseguest & Coach, Britney Haynes from Season 11 & 14 came by to talk with Julie Chen about how she thinks the game is going so far. Also who enjoyed that live performance from the Whack Street Boys? They even got a tweet from The Backstreet Boys! But first let's get to my recap of last night's episode!
Audrey's Demise
Before and after the POV ceremony, Audrey was having what looked like an emotional meltdown in the Big Brother house. James feeling bad about how Audrey was feeling made an omelet for her. But in doing so, Audrey took a penalty vote since she was a "have not," for the week. Audrey's family was featured and discussed her game play in the Big Brother house. They confirmed that Audrey wanted to set the pace of the game and hit the ground running. However one of her good friends said Audrey should have slowed down a little. Which ultimately was the demise of her game; playing too hard, too soon and lying way too often.
Her interview with Julie Chen was very bland. The goodbye messages were not what I was expecting. Surprised Clay didn't get featured and Jason was all about vindicating DaVonne's eviction. Also the twin twist was not featured with Audrey. Could we possibly see Audrey return? We'll just have to wait and see.
HOH Competition & Britney's Thoughts
The HOH competition featured pop songs, singing about competitions that have currently happened this summer. One by one the houseguests faced off, if they answered correctly they stayed in the game, answered incorrectly they were eliminated. By the end two remained, those being Jackie and Vanessa were crowned the new HOHs for the week.
It was great to see Britney Haynes come back and give her perspective of this season. I was surprised to hear she is in love with this season and all of the different "characters," the houseguests are. Her predictions for who may win are spot on and her favorite houseguests are I believe America's favorites as well at the moment. I hope that we will continue to see more former houseguests stop by and give their perspective of how the season is going. Maybe they will bring back a Michigander houseguest, like last season Nicole Franzel from Ubly or Dan Gheesling of Season 10 & 14 from Dearborn or maybe even Season 5, Mike Lubinski from Eastpointe.
My Top Three Houseguests For The Week
- Clay - His HOH this week was a success in getting Audrey out of the house. He didn't get blood on his hands and is sitting pretty. He was HOH right? No it was his showmance Shelli, but either way Clay was pretty much in power. However his emotions got the better of him and hopefully he can keep it in check or he can expect to see his target on his back grow now that Audrey is out of the house.
- Vanessa - With the Sixth Sense in power, she was sitting pretty and even won the POV this week. Now with the start of next week winning HOH, will we see Vanessa stay in power after BOTB? Or will she take a gamble and let Jackie stay in power.
- Jason - Was saved with the POV and saw Audrey exit the game. He may be surprised to hear later that Audrey didn't vote to evict DaVonne but to stay. However he has a strong social game, fan of Big Brother and knows about the twin twist.
My Bottom Three Houseguests For The Week
- Becky - She's still in the game? Did she even speak this week other than vote to evict Audrey?
- Meg - "Is this real life?" Yes, Meg it is and hopefully you'll start playing the game and not be a floater.
- Steve - I want to see Steve do well, but he's just coming up short. Also he really needs to work more on his social game. Is it just me or is he a little awkward? Again I'm keeping my hopes up for him.
My Prediction For Nominations & BOTB
I am still surprised that Jackie won HOH. However her intended target shouldn't be a surprise. I predict that Jackie will nominate Liz and Austin for eviction. Vanessa will nominate James and John for eviction. But this time around I think John will stop throwing competitions and actually play to save himself and James during the BOTB competition. This will result in Jackie remaining as HOH. So maybe even before the fifth week is over, the twin twist will be kaput.
Will Jackie stay in power and stop being a floater? Or will Vanessa continue with the reign of the Sixth Sense Alliance in power. Can Liz and Julia survive this final week before they both can play as individuals? Will John be asked to throw another BOTB competition and be nominated? Hopefully most of these questions will be answered in the next episode! Tune in on Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS Detroit to see if my predictions are correct!
