Pride Month is held annually in June to commemorate the Stonewall riots in New York City, and marks events that generally span the entire month. Pride Month celebrates gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and recognizes their contributions on history. The largest LGBT event, Motor City Pride, takes place in Detroit at Hart Plaza on June 6 and June  7, 2015.
