Autopsy Planned For Woman Found Dead In Vacant Pontiac Field

PONTIAC (WWJ) - Authorities are expecting autopsy results to shed some light on how a woman who was found dead in a vacant field met her demise.

The woman is believed to be a 30-year-old White Lake Township resident. Police say she was found dead Wednesday morning in a field at Going and Prospect streets in Pontiac, in a neighborhood not far from Woodward Avenue and South Boulevard.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the woman was "obviously deceased" when deputies arrived on the scene, but there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Investigators have not yet confirmed the woman's identity.

More information is expected to be released Thursday following the autopsy.
